Pulmonology
Pulmonology is the branch of medicine, which studies, diagnoses and treats diseases and disorders of respiratory system.
The Pulmonology Service at Arabkir JMC&ICAH is the one in Armenia that provides outpatient and inpatient comprehensive services to children with pulmonary diseases as well as consultations to adults.
The specialists working at the department are among the leading specialists in Armenia and regularly participate in trainings and conferences organized in Armenia and foreign states to keep abreast of recent developments and innovations in the field.
The Service also provides trainings on pediatric pulmonology to students of Yerevan State Medical University after Mkitar Heratsi and residents of RA National Institute of Health.
Specialty areas
The Service of Pulmonology provides services to patients with the following health problems
- Acute and chronic diseases of upper airways: pharyngitis, tracheitis
- Acute and chronic diseases of lower airways: simple and obstructive bronchitis, pneumonia
- Congenital malformation of airways
- Early diagnosing of bronchial asthma
We also realize external respiratory function test to assess lung function, as well as diagnose different lung diseases, the level of lung dysfunction and treatment efficacy.
