Plastic Surgery

Plastic surgery is one of the largest specialties in medicine, which is closely interrelated with other surgical specialties creating wider opportunities for those through the application of microsurgery techniques. The plastic surgery does not imply aesthetic or cosmetic surgery only, which represents one of its components, but it is quite a broad surgical specialty aimed at reconstruction of both anatomy and function of organs and tissues. For example, the microsurgery technique makes it possible to realize kidney transplantation, surgical intervention and treatment of hypospadias in urosurgery, provides the opportunity to perform surgeries in life-threatening conditions or in cases of tissue defects, when there is a need for removal of tissue or organ.

Although the Service of Plastic Surgery at Arabkir JMC&ICAH covers all the age groups, our aim is to develop the service of Pediatric Plastic Surgery, in particular in the field of congenital problems.
