Here you will find information about your hospital stay, health care professionals involved in your care and services. Our team members are ready to answer all your questions related to your care. All our efforts are aimed at providing you with quality services, as well as making your stay at the hospital less stressful.
Realizing the importance of the support of the family members in the process of treatment and care, we encourage them to spend with the patient as much time as possible. That is also a very good opportunity to acquire necessary skills to ensure corresponding care after the discharge at home.

The first stay at the hospital

When you arrive at Arabkir JMC&ICAH, the admission doctor will examine you and refer to the corresponding department, where you will be provided with a room. There the doctor in charge of your care will ask you relevant questions about your medical history, the medications you have taken, the allergies you might have and you can discuss all the questions you have.

The Health Care Team

To ensure best possible care of each patient according to his/her need, the care at Arabkir JMC&ICAH is provided by multidisciplinary team. The multidisciplinary team involves


Doctors
The doctor in charge of your or your child care will regularly visit you. According to your needs, you or your child might also be examined by other health care professionals. You might also see medical students and residents as Arabkir JMC&ICAH is a training base for the students of Mkhitar Heratsi State Medical University and National Health Institute. The leading professionals and professors of Arabkir JMC&ICAH will examine you or your child each week.   

Nurses
Arabkir JMC&ICAH specially trained nurses will also be involved in the care provided. They will carry out different procedures.   

Social worker
Social worker is involved in the health care team to provide you with different services such as social consultation about different issues that might be of your interest, mediation services related to services available for you at Arabkir JMC&ICAH and other institutions.

Psychologist
As your hospital stay and being ill might be stressful time for you and your family members, there is psychologist service available at Arabkir JMC&ICAH for you.

Special Educator
The special educators provide their services at the Playrooms and Hospital school functioning within Arabkir JMC&ICAH. They will decrease the stress related to being at the hospital via plays, as well as will provide individual and group educational activities to your child to ensure the continuity of your child’s education while being at the hospital.

Visiting

The visiting hours at Arabkir JMC&ICAH are 14.00 – 21.00. Not more than two people at the same time can visit you at you room.
Because patients at the intensive care department have special needs, the visitors are asked to check with the medical personnel before seeing the patient.  To protect patients from illnesses, relatives and friends with colds, the flu and other respiratory infections are asked not to visit.

Discharge

The doctor in charge of your or your child care will regularly discuss with you the process of the treatment as well as will inform you about the discharge. Before the discharge, if necessary, you will be provided with the information about the medication that you or your child will continue to take, about the skills that you might need to ensure the care at home as well as about the following visits you might need.
